Summer Fun Day
We are holding a Summer Fun Day for all the family on May 2nd 2015.
All proceeds raised will go to Breedon Play & Learn Pre-School.
There will be loads to do as we have a bouncy castle, cake stall, tombola, raffle, assault course, ball pit, face painting, BBQ, craft stalls and a special appearance from Sump Scrapers car enthusiasts. Please come along and have a fun packed day.

Santa had a very big sleigh that we could all nearly fit in.
We met Santa and he told us that we had all been very good boys and girls and gave us a great present. Thanks Santa
December - Castle Donington Fire Station Visit
We had a special visit from Castle Donington Fire Station Crew. They came along and talked to us about fire safety and let us sit in the fire engine. We had a go with the hose and enjoyed watering the tree. Some of us tried on the helmet and we looked fab!! What a great morning.
Wednesday 19th November 2014 - Bags to School collection - we've collected a lot of stuff already but more is always appreciated. So even if you have a few bits hidden away that you don't need any more please bring them down to pre-school - every little bit helps!
Monday 17th November 2014 - Cake and Coffee. We are open in the morning for parents, family and friends to pop in and see what the children get up to whilst enjoying a nice slice of home made cake and a cup of tea/coffee. I can't promise it will be quiet! Funds raised will go towards the Christmas trip to see Father Christmas, who I believe is making a quick stop off at Conkers before the big night.... Raised a grand total of £94.36! Father Christmas watch out we're coming....
Wednesday 5th November 2014 - Bonfire Extravaganza! We hosted a bonfire party in Wilson which included fireworks, bonfire, sparklers, pulled pork rolls, hotdogs, bonfire toffee and toffee apples plus a number of other bonfire favourites. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who turned up to support the event and for all the money given in contributions. A fundraising total will be updated shortly. A hugely successful fundraising effort with special thanks to those who put in all the hard work organising it, you know who you are!
The children had a fantastic day out at Manor Farm. We sang 'The Wheels on the Bus' on the way there. All the children were very excited! We saw donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, owls, goats. The children loved stroking the guinea pigs and rabbits. After lunch we ran wild round the pirate ship and medieval castle. We said thank you and good bye to all the animals then we got back on the bus - and promptly fell fast asleep! Good day had by all.
Our end of term trip to Twycross Zoo was a great success. Everyone had a fantastic time. The dinosaurs were possibly a favourite!
Saturday 17th May 2014 - Monkey Puzzle Obstacle Game. What a fantastic success! Thank you to everyone who turned up and supported us. We raised over £560. Our best effort yet!
Monday 12th May 2014 - Bags2School collection
Saturday 5th April 2014 - Easter Egg Hunt at St Hardulph's School. The committee hosted tea/ coffee / homemade cakes, a chocolate raffle and sold raffle tickets for an Easter Hamper. Sophie came from Monkey Club and did face painting and Jo's daughter did a fantastic job selling tattoos. Hazel and Becky were doing craft and cake decorating activities. Always a good fundraiser and we don't have to stand in the rain which is always a bonus! Excellent work everyone, we raised a whopping £162.65. Thank you to everyone who helped out and also to everyone spending their money.
Tuesday 1st April 2014 - Open Day! We will be open from 9.30am onwards. We will be hosting a range of activites for the children to give you an idea of what we do and how the children benefit from coming to our preschool. Free refreshments will be available, so you can sit and relax while your children are entertained.
Monday 2nd December 2013 -Bags2school collection. Please take the opportunity to have a good clear out before Christmas and help raise money for the children at the same time. Thank you to everyone we managed to raise £130.
Saturday 29th June 2013 - Breedon Monster Fun Day. Fun and games for all the family. The Monster run was a great success for the school and everyone is looking forward to next year.

Tuesday 16th April 2013 - Quiz at the Bulls Head Wilson. Just the two committee members were able to join in the quiz this time, we made £61.50, very quiet night. However, we did have a good laugh and hope to get a bigger team together for the next one.
Saturday 16th March 2013 - Easter Egg Hunt, St Hardulph's Primary School. Our committee hosted a chocolate raffle stall and lucky dip. We also provided tea/coffee and home made cake. We had a great turnout and managed to raise £100.40. Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes and came and supported us on the day.

Tuesday 13 th November 2012 - Quiz @ Bulls Head Wilson. Raised £110. Thanks to Amelia for all her hard work sorting it out.
Monday 5th November - Well done we won!!! Guy Fawkes!! We are entering a Guy into Melbourne's Guy for the bonfire competition. Entries will need to be in two weeks before hand ( 20th Oct ), so we are going to get cracking on designing and making a guy. Lots of cutting, sticking and mess will be involved. Good Luck!
Wednesday 26th September - Annual General Meeting. Thank you to those of you who came and supported us. Thanks to all our retiring trustees and welcome to our new ones!
Saturday 14th July 2012 - Melbourne Carnival. The children had a fantastic time on the float dressing up as different olympic sports. We were the only preschool float at the carnival, we didn't win but there's always next year. Our stall attracted a lot of attention from families with preschool children, we sold out of all our prizes! Lucky dip and hook a duck were an enormous hit! The event tied in nicely with our article in the Melbourne Village Voice highlighting our success with our recent Ofsted inspection.
Friday 13th July 2012 - End of term. Beach party with ice cream and picnic. Leavers were presented with a bag stuffed full of goodies and lovely pictures to treasure of friends and staff. The staff were presented with flowers as a thank you for all their hard work over the year.
Thursday 28th June 2012 - School Trip to Oak Farm Park. As if we haven't had enough rain we had a months rainfall in two hours!! However, the kids had a fantastic time, saw the animals (between rain showers) played on the tractors, bouncy castle and trampolines. Loved the play barn, I don't think they noticed the rain!! Great time had by all despite the odds being stacked against us.
Saturday 16th June 2012 - Breedon on the Hill Fun Run, St Hardulph's School. Hit by bad weather again! Raised just £24.
Sunday 3rd June 2012 - Diamond Jubilee Event on the green, Breedon on the Hill. Well what a day! Weather couldn't have been any worse. Fantastic effort by all those who helped out. Very wet, very cold but we did raise £41.60 for the pre-school.
Tuesday 22nd May 2012 - Quiz at the Bulls Head, Wilson. 8pm start. Raised £84.
Friday 18th May 2012 - Big Toddle raising money for Banardos childrens charity. All children will have received sponsership forms. Village Voice came to take children's picture. We had a lot of Super Heros!! Waiting to see how much money we raised...
Thursday 26th April 2012 - Bags2school collection. Old clothes, bedding, soft toys, paired shoes. Money raised £150! Well done everyone!
Wednesday 28th March - Baby Lambs! This year we are going to a local working farm to see the new born lambs. The children will have the opportunity to feed the lambs and get an understanding of life on the farm. Kids loved it, particulary the ride on Peter the Pony!
